Congrats to the newlyweds! Kurtis and Samantha had their wedding at the local zoo and it was beautiful. They said their vows outside with all their friends, family and flamingos watching. How much more fun can a wedding be?
Since the wedding was at the zoo, we wanted to incorporate animals into the photo booth, but Samantha wanted to make sure it didn't look like a birthday party as opposed to a wedding. I decided to go with an evening sky theme for the backdrop. The wedding was an evening affair and the backdrop had one of their wedding colors in it (plum). I worked in the animals with some fun props. They also had some chalkboard elements scattered throughout their decor, so we made sure to have chalkboards and chalk handy.
The wedding guests were awesome! We had so much fun helping people pick out props. We even got some fantastic roars out of a few people!
We debuted a new service at Kurtis and Samantha's photo booth. Prints! It was our first time using our new mobile printer and it was a huge success. We made sure to take four shots of each group, letting them change it up with different props, poses, and grrrs for each shot. Then we transferred the images to a laptop, plugged them into the custom template, and zip! Free print with all four totally fun images!
Toward the end of the night, we hadn't seen the bride and groom yet. They were so busy visiting and dancing, they hadn't made it out to the photo booth. The were our final photos of the night, and probably my favorite. We asked them if they wanted to do serious or silly. Kurtis said he'd had enough of serious photos for the day and they chose silly.
Your wedding day should be the absolute Best Day Ever, and it is definitely a serious time, but it should also be full of laughter...there's always room for some silliness!
